What's My WIP: A Weekly Blog Series

Updated: Aug 16, 2020

I need a bit of accountability when it comes to craft projects.

Sometimes, I can whip through a pattern in a day, and other times, something sits for months...and months...and I've sadly had projects stay unfinished for years. I have bags of UFOs shoved under a desk; yarns with their designated patterns awaiting creation, partially-made items without patterns, and bags filled with confusion that used to resemble a project.

Check out a new weekend series on my blog, where I take on my pile of works-in-progress

It goes beyond the yarn stash, too.

My studio has furniture I started refurbishing with gusto collecting dust and other "I'll finish it later" projects on top of them. Friends have asked for things and told me to take my time, and boy, have I taken time...

The procrastination stops now!

I'm turning to my long list of projects into a new blog series. That's right: why not raise the stakes and have the projects scheduled as content, too? If I want my blog to grow, the WIPs must be worked on, too. It'll keep me on track in multiple areas, which is good enough for me!

Here's the WIP List I'll be working off of for now:

  • Knit Gosling (DONE! see the reveal here!)

  • Big Crochet Pig (DONE! see the over-sized cuteness here!)

  • Ship-lap Cross

  • Knit & Crochet Wizard

  • Travel Crucifix

  • Knit Mini Shepherd

  • Granny Square Blanket

  • Pink Crochet Gingham Blanket

  • Crate Bookshelf #2

  • Dresser Refurbish

  • Craft Table Build

  • Office Desk Resurfacing

  • Knit Turtle

  • Crochet Alien (ornament & normal size)

  • Polar Bear Headband

  • "Made For Dancing" Sign

Any projects listed above in pink have been started! Click on through to read their posts and see their final outcomes!

I'll be posting every week what I'm working on, what I think of the patterns I'm using (if any), along with other insights I may have until I finish the project. We'll tame my Procrastination Project Pile together, and hopefully make some sweet things out of it.

If you want to join in with your own WIPs list, feel free to share what you're working on in the comments, or tag me on Instagram @eleventhmonthdesign with #whatsmywip so we can keep each other in check!

Let's get those WIPs done together!
