Creating Whimsical Things
from Wood, Fabric & String
The Maker
Nice to meet you! I'm Jennifer. I am a curious and creative soul that dabbles in many mediums, but my favorites are: knitting, crochet, sewing, woodwork, and clay.
I'm a self-taught knitter, mother-taught seamstress and crocheter, and father-taught woodworker. I've been knitting for 14 years, sewing for over 17, and woodworking for around 4.

When I'm not crafting, I have my hands dirty in the garden, paint on my hands from a home improvement project, or I'm watching other makers on YouTube for inspiration and fun. I currently live in the suburbs of Virginia with my husband and our pets.
The Studio(s)
My artistic domain is currently in one of our spare bedrooms, but let's be real: I take up space all over the house most of the time!
My cats are free to wander in and out as they please, and they tend to nap in my crafting chair or on their hammock by the window. I'll typically find a door open on my yarn storage where a curious cat decided to check out what was in there during the night, but no yarn seems to get harmed (thankfully)!

I tend to edit my YouTube videos, write blog posts, and create my art for social media at my computer desk in our living room one floor down. It's not much, but it's mine!
The Mission
At Eleventh Month Design, it is my mission to create whimsical yarn work notions that are not only fun to have in your stash, but ones that you'll reach for over and over with their durability and ease of use.
The woodwork crosses and hand-knit stuffed animals I make may follow similar patterns and use the same materials, however no two come out exactly the same. This makes them special. Each plush and cross has its own personality, and I hope one of them will speak to you as a gift for yourself or a friend to spread some whimsy and smiles from my crafty studio to you!
